The most commonly known trespassing offence is if an individual enters or remains on someone else’s property without their permission. Many home and property owners warn passer-byers that they do not wish to have anyone on their property with a sign, by a fence. If an individual refuses to leave another person’s property after seeing a sign or someone associated with that property has informed them that they should not be there.

This is often accomplished by filing a lawsuit for trespass. The main purpose is to have the Court order someone to stop using your property.
